Amnesty Canterbury says goodbye

Quiz Night Blean 12.7.14 008
At the Quiz Night we said goodbye to Heather Chappell who is leaving Canterbury for Settle in Yorkshire. Heather has been one of the longest-serving members of the Group and will be greatly missed by all of us. Over the years she has organised countless street collections and Greetings Cards Campaigns, when the people of Canterbury have been asked to sign a card for a prisoner-of-conscience. Heather has also supported the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture (now known as Freedom from Torture) and was for many years a prison visitor at Canterbury Prison.

We thank Heather for her considerable contribution to the cause of human rights and we wish her all the best for the future.
